What you'll do Overview Wendy’s Communications team leads global communications (internal and external), public affairs, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy and community & employee engagement for the brand. We work together with cross-functional partners to protect and enhance brand reputation, build trust and meaningful connections with key stakeholders, inspire the Wendy’s system to deliver results, and engage the Wendy’s community as one Wendy’s family. Specific Responsibilities IncludeCommunity & Employee Engagement: Work with the team to plan, manage and execute community & employee engagement initiatives, like Wendy’s community-based giving program, Wendy’s WeCare Fund and the Frosty 5K Run for Adoption.External Communications: Explore media inquiries, assist with drafting blog posts and/or news releases, track issues in the media on a case by case basis and other media relations support, as needed.Executive Communications: Assist with external and internal communications for Wendy’s Senior Leadership Team, Company Officers and franchisees. For example, creating briefing documents, conducting research, drafting communications. Administrative Support: Research projects, assist with Company presentations, support updates to wendys.com.
