Why Wendy's

Wendy's is seeking a hands-on leader to drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our digital experiences, across channels (e.g., mobile app, website, and kiosk) and capabilities (e.g., loyalty, food delivery). As the Director of Digital Product, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of product managers, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class digital experiences that meet the evolving needs of Wendy's guests.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy

  • Develop and align on overall digital experience objectives and KPIs.
  • Provide guest and business value validation for the collaborative prioritization of the product roadmap and backlog for our digital experiences, incorporating input from cross-functional partners within the business and technology teams.
  • Drive an MVP mindset organizationally, deriving maximum value from efficient product development. Launch, learn, iterate.
  • Work alongside and collaboratively with a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, architects, scrum masters, business analysts, and quality assurance testers to deliver best in class experiences collaboratively and efficiently.
  • Led requirements discovery, solution design, design system incorporation, user story writing, backlog grooming, feature readiness for development, and user acceptance testing.
  • Define and track key metrics to measure the success of our digital experiences and use data to inform product decisions.
  • Define when feature/product releases are customer-ready.
  • Incorporate user feedback into continuous improvement cycles.
  • Conduct user research and market analysis to stay up-to-date on customer needs, technology capabilities and market trends.
  • Excel at creating an inclusive and equitable customer experience, with an never wavering commitment of building accessible compliant (ADA) solutions for our digital experiences.

Digital Marketing

  • Collaborates on digital experience marketing campaigns, with Wendy’s CRM team, intended to drive customer engagement including experience personalization, email, SMS, in-app messaging, push messaging and engagement strategies to drive experience usage and feature adoption.
  • Executes user acquisition campaigns by working closely with marketing analytics and marketing on download campaigns, supporting internal marketing efforts and executing App Store Optimization & overall search programs.

Vendor Management

  • Lead relationships with third-party delivery providers, vendors and other channel partners, working with the technology team to onboard additional partners as needed.
  • Influence vendor feature roadmaps to ensure Wendy’s is achieving maximum value and speed to market from our partners in support of our digital strategy

Approves Product Increment Planning objectives and releases; roadmap and shape/scope of releases including Go/No-Go for release deployments.

Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of product managers (including the performance management and hiring of) and collaborate effectively with other product leaders across the organization.

Vendor management: Cultivate vendor/supplier relationships, contract review, negotiation and SLAs. Approve or recommend depending on the $ amount and per Wendy’s pre-established guidelines.

What we expect from you

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, business, marketing).

Master's degree in business or technological field preferred.

8+ years of solid experience in omnichannel product management/e-commerce, with a proven track record of successfully launching new products/features (Digital offers redemption and payment experience is a plus).

5+ years experience with Agile methodologies.

Demonstrated success in identifying and driving innovative solutions through productive and lasting partnerships with business partners.

Vision for how to accomplish complex implementations across multiple product and technology teams.

Passion for user-centric design; commitment to research, competitive analysis, user/stakeholder reviews, analytics and un-biased recommendations in a highly collaborative environment.

Have experience bringing order to complex situations with various stakeholders who approach problems in different ways.

Thoroughness of ADA as it is at the core of every requirement and never compromised. Everyone is a Guest at Wendy’s.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Travel: 25%

Pay Range: $136,000 - $245,000 Annually
