What you'll do Overview Wendy’s is growing around the globe and the Director of Global franchise recruiting leads the recruiting efforts for all new franchisees to drive our Global pipeline of growth. The Director leads the team responsible for all processes related to the recruitment of new franchisees. Identifies, fosters, and manages relationships with key strategic development partners that can fuel our new restaurant growth and performance. Leads the strategy, process, tools, and teams required to effectively identify, evaluate and select new multi-unit and master franchisees. Partners in the creation and recommendation of well-developed programs and incentives required to attract franchisees that will accelerate brand growth. This role, which is part of our Development organization, will be based in our Columbus, OH office, reports directly to the VP of Global Restaurant Development & Recruiting, and manages a team of regional recruiting managers & specialists. Specific Responsibilities IncludeDrives franchise recruiting and new unit development for Wendy's restaurants globally by leading all strategic planning, goal setting and analysis activities related to the recruitment of new franchisees:Focuses on building processes, tools, programs, incentives and teams required to effectively identify, evaluate and select new multi-unit and master franchisees.Oversees, recommends and assists with negotiations on behalf of the company with franchisees concerning administration, development, legal & contract compliance matters.Ensures continuous communications are maintained between departments, the regional company organizations and franchisees, strengthening good working relationships between the company and franchise community:Works with cross-functional business partners to establish strategies and programs required to support new franchisee new unit growth, including but not limited to incentives and financing.Leads strategic creation of franchise marketing materials and resources that heighten the awareness of the Wendy's brand, franchising and new growth opportunities.Builds relationships with key external Lenders and Franchise Consultants to develop leads and a candidate pipeline. Converts leads into viable new franchisees and growth opportunities. Partners with Wendy's Legal team to grant franchise rights. Establishes on-boarding and training plans for all new franchiseesLeads regular cross functional leadership meeting on recruiting progress and decisions needed to fulfill transaction and new market pipeline of candidates.Partners with Development and Operations leaders and New Markets team to evaluate and define new market entry strategies:Drives alignment pertaining to market growth potential vs. required franchisee profile and capability to define new franchise recruiting needs and priorities.Establishes the development of Global Franchise Recruiting strategies, plans and associated business cases for priority growth markets by leveraging competitive analysis that informs franchising landscape, competitor strategies and areas of opportunity for Wendy’s. Assesses franchise recruiting broker and consulting landscape and provides recommendations on proposed partners, programs, required budget and estimated ROI for target markets. Defines marketing and communications efforts required to drive lead generation for new Global franchisee opportunities. Prepares presentations and materials required to drive decisions with Senior Leadership. Partners with key Domestic and International leaders and the New Markets team to develop and inform franchise recruiting strategies for LAC/APMEA markets:Manages all new franchise recruiting programs/processes, including relationships with local 3rd party franchise recruiting agencies and partners, to drive new candidate leads, select and place new franchisees.Executes new franchise recruiting interviews, meetings and events; converts leads into new franchiseesManages and evolves reporting and tracking for prospective franchise candidates. Understands all aspects of the Wendy's franchise agreement and local franchise disclosure requirements to incorporate into the recruiting process and negotiations; partners with Development and Legal leaders to define and implement processes required to support new franchisee incentives and programs.Helps to manage efforts of the Global Recruiting Coordinator/Specialist to ensure candidate progression through the pipeline. This position will be based at The Wendy's Company headquarters in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus, OH.
