What you'll do Overview This position is responsible for driving and supporting food safety, food quality and regulatory compliance throughout a region and works with cross-functional teams to drive performance in these areas. A vital component of this role will be to ensure processes and individuals are operating within compliance of Wendy’s QA standards and federal, state, and local regulations. This position requires significant local and occasional overnight travel within the assigned division. Specific Responsibilities IncludeUtilizes Risk Assessment Program data streams to monitor distributor and restaurant quality and food safety (1st and 3rd party audits, HIMS, Pest Control, Ecolab training)Conducts QA Workshops to educate field leadership on restaurant procedures related to food safety to ensure food safety, quality standards and regulatory compliance across all restaurants in assigned division.Conduct restaurant escalation audits to ensure food safety, quality standards and regulatory compliance standards in support of the Corporate Escalation Committee process. Manage audit result data and reports to make recommendations to senior management on the implementation and maintenance of safe food handling policies, sanitation, regulatory compliance and standard operating procedures.Assist with the management of the Distribution Center program; ensuring regulatory, food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained from the time food is received at the DC to the delivery at the restaurants. Coordinate the third party audit process and make recommendations to QSCC on the approval process. Compile and analyze the distribution complaints for the beef, poultry, and other product manufacturing facilities, that supports the Total Quality program. Act as liaison with local health department and regulatory authorities to manage response to any regulatory inspections, complaints and/or foodborne illness investigations. This position will support the Baltimore area.
