What you'll do Overview The Field Technology Manager position plays a critical role in supporting the overall successful execution of the IT strategy at the Division/field level by partnering with Division corporate and Franchise leadership organizations on technology initiatives. The role will ensure technology initiatives and strategies are communicated, planned, and supported with a high level of success in coordination with DRSC and field resources. Specific Responsibilities Include: Lead the communication process within the field Division regarding technology including the translation of the technology vision into a meaningful operational conversation breaking down what the project or work is, what it means to restaurants and the overall impact to their business. Represent the technology organization in all Divisional and DMA meetings to drive action on technology initiatives intended to drive stability, standardization and sales potential. Partner with Technology Implementation Team to cross-functionally coordinate all new construction and remodel construction restaurants open with few to no technology issues on opening day. Lead/influence cross-functional teams on issue remediation prior to open to resolve any outstanding issues and follow-up with franchisees and field leadership teams on actions required to ensure opening success and/or any recommendations required for rescheduling of opens to protect the business due to technology delays. Provide issue identification, summarization, and escalation to DRSC/Accenture/Dumac staff to drive improvements in technical solutions impacting restaurant operations. Manage these pending issues through to resolution. Execute field level operations training for all technology initiatives including new digital technology functionality, technology related to new openings such as kiosks and throughput enabling technology such as an outside order taking solution, etc. Schedule and execute all division leadership team and multi-unit train-the-trainer sessions. Monitor and report out on restaurant level training/implementation readiness pre-launch of any system level technology solutions. Partner with field operational support resources (EG Franchise Operations Coaches) to ensure they are knowledgeable and able to support Franchise technical solutions impacting restaurant operations.
