Joining the Marketing Team, this Manager – Global Packaging serves in key strategic and technical roles working with internal and external teams to lead global packaging initiatives. This team member will lead the Wendy’s Company through marketing/packaging development, testing, life cycle performance, sustainability and alignment with packaging legislation and regulations. What do you think? You up for this? Responsibilities Leads cross-functional packaging team(s), including global initiatives. Thoroughly communicates cross-functionally and to leadership. Works closely with QA Packaging Specialist to ensure Brand Standards and Supplier and Product Approval process is followed.Leads Wendy’s Global Packaging Sustainability Roadmap in partnership with internal and external stakeholders including Franchisees, QSCC, CSR, Operations, R&D, QA and Finance.Assesses current packaging portfolio, lead design thinking with agency/consulting partners, and make recommendations on innovative packaging solutions in partnership with our CSR goals. Owns all packaging specifications and external packaging data supporting claims. Identifies new partnerships, opportunities and technologies for scaling change in a global landscape.Create product sourcing options, tools, reporting and best practice guides for Franchisees and the Company regarding regional and local packaging ordinances.Operationalize and further develop other restaurant packaging initiatives, e.g., food presentation, marketing, design, waste, and circularity.Provides insights and recommendations to leadership, cross-functional partners and external partners.Creates tools to aid system in navigating global packaging initiatives and programs relating to: CSR, legislation, regulation product development and marketing.Leads cross-functional packaging team(s). Organizes and communicates global sustainable packaging roadmap.Recommends updates to product specifications.
What we expect from you Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging or Packaging Engineering.5 years of experience in Packaging or Packaging Engineering.Thorough knowledge of sustainable packaging, packaging design and supply chain, packaging regulations and ordinances.Strong computer skills and knowledge of statistical analysis – statistical process control.Command of organization and communication skills, including strong influencing and problem solving.Education: Bachelor's DegreeTravel: 10%Pay Range: $81,000 - $142,000 Yr.
