What you'll do Overview The IT Cloud Computing and Automation Engineering Manager position plays a critical role in supporting the overall successful execution of the IT strategy by partnering with the corporate, regional and franchise leadership organizations on technology initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of an organizational shift from legacy infrastructure to modern cloud platform delivery by building and delivering solutions based on IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, Infrastructure as Code, APIs, and other emerging technologies. The role will bring strong systems engineering skills to execute on high performance design/architecture, execute to availability SLOs promised to our customers, as well as ensuring zero downtime, highly available services both in restaurants and Corporate systems. The IT Performance and Automation Engineering Manager will also collaborate closely with product owners, customer enablement and engineering leads in this role. Specific Responsibilities Include: Define, implement, and operate on-premises and cloud infrastructure services. This includes networking, compute, automation and storage services in addition to modern cloud-based infrastructure solutions that deliver improved services to the organization Drive adoption and implementation of modern, Cloud-based technology solutions supporting both Restaurant Operations and Corporate systems. Provide Operational and Technical Support to enhance scripting and automation within the IT team. This includes a focus on advocating for scripting and automation in order to help the various IT teams work smarter and more efficiently through automating repeatable processes. Provide issue identification, summarization, and escalation to DRSC/RTO staff and partners to drive resolution and improvements in technical solutions impacting restaurant operations and corporate solutions. Analyze data to report on issue trends, patterns and insights to inform and shape future technology strategies Ensure the technology roadmap is well communicated and understood. Schedule and lead informational roundtables and represent the technology strategy. Identify opportunities and requirements as key input for planning, budgeting and prioritization with DRSC/RTO. Be flexible to accommodate multiple timezones to connect with team member and franchisees. To stay informed of the latest developments / innovations in the Infrastructure Cloud & restaurant technology field, including new products and services. Participate as a Subject Matter Expert for technology projects that are dictated by current business needs and technological developments.
