The Manager – International New Markets Activation will manage work streams around international new market strategy and prioritization, market dynamics, opportunities and risks. They will make well-developed recommendations to support the acceleration of the International growth strategy. They will also manage the market entry execution plan and timeline by partnering with cross-functional leaders and regional teams. This role, which is part of our International organization, reports directly to the Sr. Director – International Strategy & Business Development.

  • Manages the analysis, preparation and presentation of new market strategy for Wendy's International, including risks and opportunities, market prioritization, structure. Oversees and leads analysis of new markets including competitor analysis, menu/pricing analysis, demographic research and market potential/outlook analysis.
  • Manages the execution plan and timeline for international new market launches. Lead the cross-functional team consisting of partners in Development, Franchise Recruiting, Finance, Operations, Marketing Supply Chain and IT to execute new market launch timeline.
  • Works closely with finance to build out economic model, investment model to support the financial returns of new market entry as well as the market development strategic plan.
  • Support on ad-hoc business development projects and coaches new team members, manage team priorities and workload to deliver on key strategic priorities and plans.


What we expect from you

  • Bacherlor's Degree is required, preference for Finance, Strategy, International Business, etc.
  • 5-7 years experience in financial or strategic planning position with large organization. Multi-unit restaurant and/or retail environment a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in project management and application of financial, analytical analysis. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication; ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills, ability to interpret results, understand implications and communicate to business users.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors.  This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 20% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.  Director and above roles are also eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive award program.

Pay Range: $112,000 - $196,000 Annually
