What you'll do Overview The Manager – Corporate Learning & Development (L&D) manages the design, development, and implementation of training & development programming that enables and supports Wendy’s strategic business initiatives. In this role, consultation with leadership teams, HR business partners, the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion team, and the HR leadership team is critical. With these partnerships, the Manager - Corporate L&D works to identify individual skills, manager development, leadership development, team development, and onboarding needs across the business. As part of the Wendy’s University Team, this leader develops and drives initiatives focused on Wendy’s employees beyond (above) the restaurant, a.k.a. “corporate” employees with the support of an Instructional Designer. This target audience includes US and international team members spanning levels of the organization from entry level to executive. This individual is also responsible for evaluating effectiveness of programs and continuously seeking ways to improve. Specific Responsibilities Include: Designs, develops and leads company initiatives focused on people management and leadership development, including programs targeting high potential and other top talent groups at Wendy’s, both in the field and at the Restaurant Support Center Designs, develops and leads company initiatives focused on individual capabilities and skills, including programs targeting high potential and other top talent groups at Wendy’s, both in the field and at the Restaurant Support Center Designs, develops and leads company initiatives focused on team-based development Partners with corporate & field HR Business Partners on assessing needs of target audience as well as the design and implementation of these programs. Manages development of the annual budget for the programs; manages expenses within the budgetary guidelines for the Training function. Facilitates workshops and courses both virtually and in-person Continuously improve and implement onboarding tools, processes, and experiences (including in-restaurant training) Manage the Corporate Learning & Development Team within HR/Training department, including making personnel decisions, performance managing the team, and providing training and development to team members as needed.
