Overview

Are you a strong relationship builder with a solid understanding of service contract delivery? Can you build of stable of high performing partners adding value and creating predictable outcomes?  The Manager of Restaurant Technology Vendor Management initial objective is to define and curate processes to onboard, measure, and offboard restaurant technology vendors.  The managers role will also include ensuring vendors are governed with contractually detailed service levels measured on a regular basis.  Lastly, the manager will including building a high performing team driving excellence in vendor performance.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Define, implement, and curate vendor management processes to onboard, measurement, assess and offboard vendors.
  • Assess vendor value on a regular basis through gathering feedback from stakeholders, monitoring publicly availabe information, comparison pricing, service level performance, work inspections and introduction of new/innovative capabilities.
  • Drive requests for proposal (RFP), contract negotations, statements of work and introduction of new offerings into the Wendy’s system.
  • Lead, develop and challenge direct reports to execute with excellence leveraging Wendy’s career development framework
  • Perform vendor maintenance functions including but not limited to monitoring offerings for end of sale / end of life announcements, billing accuracy, monitoring of spare pools and dispute resolution.

What we expect from you

Education / Experience

  • Postsecondary education in business management, legal, accounting, or computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of experience building IT vendor management processes and managing complex IT contracts
  • Previous experience in the quick service restaurant business, specifically in partnering with franchisees preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with IT & business leaders to understand requirements, expectations & value measurements
  • Understanding of vendor organizations, including motivations, strategic plans, decision-making processes, market challenges and potential issues (political, influence) that impact vendor relationships
  • Knowledge of market trends in contract and pricing models, service delivery and performance management, and innovation preferred 
  • Ability to understand internal customer and vendor business goals and strategies with the intent of establishing and managing to a common set of goals
  • Demonstrated capacity to understand complex issues and initiatives and the ability to sustain communication on these topics with business and tech
