Additionally, they will take the lead for coordinating FWA, BOD, agency demos, and many others. They will be accountable for operating the Test Kitchen at an A level. They will create an environment that fosters creativity, enables scientific accuracy, and works well with cross-functional departments. Responsibilities Manage the test kitchen, includes but is not limited to: Manage food execution for all corporate functions including WNAP, FAC, BOD, Photo Shoots, Sensory panels, Media Events and Supplier Visits. This includes enlisting volunteers from cross-functional departments and supplier partners to help execute these events and recruiting internal and external technical experts to train the team and strengthen capability to execute events on time and in a fun, food forward way. Supporting International R+D Team. Supporting Company wide event. Strategic calendar and menu/event planning.Manage the lab calendar, daily prep, Test Kitchen Technician, and all additional staffing required to support the daily needs of the Test Kitchen and sensory testing to ensure that all calendar needs are met and sensory tests are prepped for accurately. Identify and resolve possible scheduling conflicts. Identify needs for contract labor and partner with agency to schedule appropriately to support sensory testing, special tastings and other kitchen events. Owns payroll for outside consultants and coordinates budget for such suppliers. Coding test kitchen invoices. Manage cleaning staff and ensure maintence, preventative maintenance, and cleaning schedules are created and executed to maintain a state-of-the-art innovation center. Monitors and maintains Center of Excellence audit checklist to ensure that the Innovation Center operates at A level. Includes planning for future kitchen needs to meet ever changing business support needs.Manages all product ordering through various sources in a way that meets needs for Culinary Innovation, Ops, and Sensory while controling inventory costs.Support Test Kitchen & Analytical Lab Support Team members and contractors on kitchen policies, product showing procedures, how to safely function kitchen equipment and other tasks as needed to support the operational execution of calendar entries and general workings of the Culinary Innovation Center.
What we expect from you Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred in Culinary Arts, Culinary Nutrition or Food Service Management. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.1-3 years of past restaurant management experience is required.Strong team skills.Physically able to complete product prep and safely operate and clean restaurant grade equipment, which may include, but not limited to, lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching overhead.Serve Safe CertificationProficient computer skills, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerpointWendy’s was built on the premise, "Quality is our Recipe®," which remains the guidepost of the Wendy's system.
