The Specialist – International Development will play a critical role in helping this vision come to life. New market expansion and further development within existing markets will continue to be dominant drivers of Wendy’s worldwide strategy over the coming years. Our goal is to grow our global footprint by more than 1,000 restaurants by 2024.As a part of the Global Strategic Development & Analysis team (SD&A), you will be responsible for supporting the Real Estate Development function for the Wendy’s International business ( LAC and APMEA). In this position, you will report to the Director of Strategic Development & Analysis and play a critical role in creating market level growth plans, helping to analyze new market entry, and providing reporting and analysis for International development activity. A successful candidate will be highly motivated with significant interpersonal skills, and will have a base knowledge of development concepts and processes. Specific Responsibilities IncludeSupport regional Real Estate Development Directors and all practices and procedures associated with the development of new franchise locations, including preparing demographics, aerials and market maps for for site tours, managing Real Estate Letters (REL) and New Restaurant Approval Requests (NRAR) processes, and maintaining status reporting on new store activity. Provide ongoing reporting for development activity, encroachment, and New Restaurant Development compliance. Utilize Microsoft Dynamics as a project management software (Gateway) to manage new project creation and project updates.Document, track and forecast development activity including new builds, relocations and closures to inform the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan. Coordinate the creation and evolution of market level growth plans. Work with Geographic Information System (ESRI) team to bring technical expertise to the market and Franchisees. Strategize with Real Estate teams and the New Markets team to inform trade area viability, desirability and feasibility using data analytics to support regional growth. Assist with the development of new programs and/or procedures to support department functions, including Real Estate, Construction, Legal, Franchise Support, Portfolio Management, IT, and Operations. This position will be based at The Wendy's Company headquarters in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus, OH.
