Overview 

The Group Manager - Field Technology position plays a critical role in supporting the overall successful execution of the IT strategy at the Division/field level by partnering with Division corporate and Franchise leadership organizations on technology initiatives.  This role will lead a team of seven Division Technology Managers to ensure technology initiatives and strategies are communicated, planned, and supported with a high level of success in coordination with DRSC and field resources, as well as serve as a point of escalation. Partners closely with each DVP to support technology related subjects and strategies.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide direct oversight and leadership contributing to the successful implementation and deployment of key technology programs throughout the system at the field level, including both Company and Franchise locations.  Key strategic programs include Digital, Payment, Kiosk, Image Activation remodels, and scanners.
  • Provide field level leadership and communication on technology initiatives and strategy to ensure effective alignment for both Company and Franchise organizations. 
  • Act as a point of escalation for Operations leadership with technology field initiatives.
  • Builds effective relationships at the field level with Company and Franchise organizational leaders to promote technology strategies and initiatives.
  • Works with DRSC cross functional leadership to ensure technology initiatives are well planned and communicated at the field level.  Works to develop processes/procedures/tools to effectively support field change management and communication on technology related strategies.

What we expect from you

Education / Experience

  • Bachelors Degree, or commensurate experience; major in Computer Science, Administration, Business, Help Desk Support, or related field. 
  • Master’s Degree in related field and/or PMI Certification preferred 

  • 5+ years of information technology or restaurant related experience, including 2 or more years of direct project management experience.
  • Team building, negotiation, management, project planning, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated depth of project management expertise in operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Able to work with other IT teams, vendor partners, Executives, Franchisees and Operations/Digital/Marketing departments to determine solutions and best practices and leads the effort to implement and support restaurants. Communications process and planning.
  • Track record of continuous service improvement with tangible results impacting support, customer satsifaction, and cost
  • Implement support for large scale project and major business initiatives
