Values

When our square-shaped burgers made their first sizzle on the scene 50 years ago, people knew our approach wasn’t like any other. It’s what our founder Dave Thomas intended from Day One. Same goes for the way we treat people—with Dave’s values as the guide. They don’t have to fit in a box. His goal was to foster an environment of openness and honesty that allows everybody to flourish in their own way.

Run your business with personal integrity
Don’t cut corners
The more you give, the more you get in return
The key to success is hard work and a desire to succeed
Just be nice

Dave Thomas Foundation
FOR ADOPTION - CANADA

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption-Canada is a nonprofit public charity dedicated to finding permanent homes for the more than 30,000 children waiting to be adopted from Canada’s foster care system. Through its signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, the Foundation supports the hiring of adoption professionals who serve youth who are most often overlooked, including teenagers, children with special needs, and siblings.

The Foundation also works closely with child welfare advocates and policymakers, provides free resources for adoptive families, and raises awareness about the critical need for foster care adoption. We believe:

Every child deserves a safe, loving, and permanent family.

No child should linger in foster care or leave the system without a permanent family.

Every child is adoptable.
