Our Cause: Foster Care Adoption Adopted as an infant, our founder, Dave Thomas, grew up with a deep respect for family, community and giving of oneself to others. He infused these values into everything we do at Wendy’s and created the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, which helps find permanent homes for thousands of kids in foster care.
